Been a long time since the last update, but only because I've been slow to
get the pictures uploaded... Not because I haven't been working on the car!

I shifted my attention to the interior. Some things will be permanent, and
others will be removed again when its time to paint the car. The main
reason for this is that I am not sure what I still need to buy, and trying
to put it all together will allow me to go buy what I need now - before I
want to do it for real.

I painted the passenger side door interior with the black lacquer I have
already used on the dash. I did not get to the driver's door yet.

But the big project has been the seats! I finally got up the nerve, and
all the supplies I needed, and tackled the upholstery.

If you look close at some of the disassembly pics - you can see where the
mice came in and got to a lot of that white foam.

The seats turned out almost perfect, with just a few small rips in hidden
places. Not bad for a first try. The burlap on my newer seats was still
in good shape, but I added another layer to be safe. New foam and new
upholstery completed the project with a few cuts on the fingers too...

Finally, I layed out the carpet that a friend gave me, and noticed that it
was a little bit faded in a couple of spots. I reversed the overlap, with
back above the front, and covered most of it up. I will either dye these
spots later, or just break down and get new carpeting.

The console I have had laying around also went in without too much trouble.

Thanks go out to the VMF for some advice on getting it in. The trick?
Put the metal bracket on first, then rotate the console into place with
the seats and the T handle shifter removed.

I did manage to finally paint the drivers door inner panel, and
also took a photo of some new door lock knobs I found.
