WARNER BROS. RECORDS NEWS BULLETIN _________________________________________________________________ R.E.M. Cancel European Indoor Dates R.E.M. management announced the cancellation of all remaining indoor European concert dates. The decision was taken following successful brain surgery performed by Swiss surgeons on drummer Bill Berry on Friday 3rd March, 1995. Berry, 36, had suffered a ruptured aneurysm to the right hand outside surface of his brain. The hemorrhage was contained by clipping the aneurysm and Bill has been making a steady recovery. Doctors are confident that he could leave hospital within 8-10 days, followed by a period of rest and recuperation. European countries affected by the immediate cancellations are Switzerland, France, Holland, Germany, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, The Czech Republic, and the U.K. Full refunds for the canceled shows can be obtained from the original point of purchase. However, all the late June/early July outdoor and stadium dates remain in place with tickets still available. Rescheduling and indoor shows in currently unlikely. Information regarding possible changes will be made available at a later date. _________________________________________________________________ IUMA / Warner Bros. Records
